Welcome to Lumley Ladies Football Club
We were formed in May 2002 and have over 100 players from 7+ in 10 teams.
We hold FA Charter Standard and Child Protection status.
For the season 2008-2009 we are running 10 teams from under 7 upwards to 2 senior teams. The youngest age group will compete in a Development League at Ryton on Sunday mornings, The under 10's, 11's, 12's and 13's will play on Saturday mornings playing 7 a side in the Russell Foster Girls League at centres decided by the League. The under 14's and 16's will also play on Saturday mornings but in the Durham County FA Girls 11 a side League with their home games at Chester-le-Street Riverside Sports Complex. The senior team will be playing in the First Division North of the North East Regional Womens Football League with the Reserves playing in the Reserve Division of the same League (NERWFL) with the home games of both teams being played at Moor Park, the home of Chester Town FC.
WE ALWAYS WELCOME NEW PLAYERS OF ANY AGE GROUP FROM 7 UPWARDS.
During the Summer months, training is on grass at Park View Community Association (Park View Main School at Chester-le-Street). The under 8's, 9's, 10's and 11's commence at 5 30 pm and train until 6 45 pm. The under 12's and above commence training at 6 45 pm until 8 00 pm or until it gets dark. TRAINING IS ON EVERY THURSDAY (THE SENIORS ALSO TRAIN ON A SUNDAY AT LUMLEY). We welcome all players old and new to come along. The weekly subs are normally £4-00 for all 11-a-side players and £3-00 for all small sided players, but during the Summer months of May, June and July, subs are reduced to £2-00 for everyone and are payable every week. We have a Monthly Standing Order system in place for paying subs and encourage everyone to opt for this method of payment and as an incentive for doing so, substantial savings can be made. LUMLEY LADIES FC HAS ADOPTED THE FA GUIDELINES ON CHILD PROTECTION AND HAS ITS OWN APPOINTED CHILD PROTECTION OFFICER/WELFARE OFFICER - NEIL FENWICK. BEFORE YOU ALLOW YOUR CHILD TO JOIN A CLUB MAKE SURE THAT CLUB IS AWARE OF CHILD PROTECTION AND HAS A CHILD PROTECTION OFFICER.
THE CLUB MANAGERS AND COMMITTEE HAVE BEEN DELIGHTED BY THE NUMBER OF NEW PLAYERS ATTRACTED TO THE CLUB AND LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING NEW PLAYERS, REGARDLESS OF ABILITY, AT FUTURE TRAINING SESSIONS. SINCE MAY 2002 WE HAVE GROWN FROM 20 PLAYERS TO 100+!! ANYONE IS WELCOME FROM 7 YEARS UPWARDS.
